New revamped brochure from TrekAmerica
by Laura Gelder
Trek America’s new 2018/19 brochure offers flexi-itineraries, re-vamped Plus Tours and two new special tours for music lovers.
The portfolio of over 50 tours ranges from three to 75 days across all 50 US states plus Canada and Central and South America.
It includes 11 new, more flexible, Plus Tours, allowing travellers to build their perfect adventure by combining bite-sized itineraries ranging from nine -23 days and starting at £1,299pp.
Plus Tours are based on two cross-country ‘hero tours’, New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco to New York, with nine other itineraries making up smaller sections in between, stopping at both cities and national parks.
A Trek America spokesperson said: “Plus tours offer the best of both worlds: Short, big-hitting itineraries which all include comfortable hotel accommodation, can be combined with additional bite-sized tours to create a trip suited to your timeframe and interests.”
Two new festival departures throw the limelight on New Orleans’ party scene: The Big Easy Music Festival is from £1,799pp and departs May 3 2018. The event has previously been headlined by Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran and Kings of Leon and the tour spends three days at the festival, guided around its famous after-parties and secret gigs by a local TrekAmerica tour guide, before heading to Destin on Florida’s Emerald Coast, the state’s theme parks and finally Miami.
The Mardi Gras and the Sunshine State option is from £1,549pp and includes four days at the famous street party, with a night at a classic Bourbon Street Balcony Party, a food tour of the city and a trip to see alligators in Honey Island Swamp, before hitting Florida’s beaches and theme parks and finishing in Miami’s South Beach.
